Alexandru Spînu began studying the viola at the age of 8 in Bucharest. Since 2016, he has been attending high school at the "Dinu Lipatti" National College of Arts, the year in which he met violist Răzvan Popovici through the SoNoRo Interferențe scholarship program, who became his mentor. From that early age, Alexandru had a special interest in chamber music, honing his skills under the guidance of teachers such as Eberhard Feltz, Konstantin Heidrich (Faure Quartett), Mihaela Martin, Frans Helmerson, Frank-Immo Zichner, and also in solo settings with Christoph Wyneken, Maxim Rysanov, and Wilfried Strehle. He is currently a student at the Berlin University of the Arts, in the class of Professor Wilfried Strehle.
