Diana Ketler

Born in Riga, Latvia, Diana Ketler began studying the piano at the age of 5, encouraged by her parents. Her father, a well-known baritone, and her mother, a choir conductor and singing teacher, inspired her early love of opera and encouraged her future collaborations with famous artists. Diana began her solo career at a young age, making her debut with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra at just 11 years old. Her musical career, both as a solo pianist and as a chamber music performer, has taken her to countless countries in Europe, Asia or the United States of America. He performed on important stages: Musikverein, Konzerthaus, Prinzregententheater, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Centre, Wigmore Hall, Suntory Hall, Opera City Hall, Osaka Symphony Hall, Konzertgebouw or Teatro La Fenice. He regularly participates in festivals such as Lucerne, Gstaad, Boswil, Kuhmo Finlanda, Rheingau, Wiener Musikwochen, Carintischer Sommer or Oxford Chamber Music Festival.
A founding member of the Raro Ensemble, Diana and her colleagues have been rewarded with several awards for the discs they recorded together, CDs released by Munich's Solo Musica. Together with Răzvan Popovici, Diana is the founder of the cultural platform SoNoRo, but also of the Chiemgauer Musikfrühling Festival in Bavaria. A professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, she was named a member of this academy in 2016. Since the fall of 2018, she has been a member of the chamber music department at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva. The pianist received the Great Music Award from the Latvian state, the highest Latvian award in the music field. In her spare time, Diana enjoys reading and writing poetry.
